Do I need a permit for a bunkie or cottage?
Most structures over 108 sq. ft. require a building permit in Ontario. Cottages almost always do. We can help you understand the requirements in your municipality and assist with the drawings and engineering if needed.
Can I use a bunkie year-round?
Three-season bunkies are not meant for winter living. However, we offer four-season packages (insulation, heating, upgraded windows, proper vapour barriers) that turn your structure into a fully winterized cottage.
Can you match an existing cottage style?
Yes — we can match colours, siding styles, rooflines, trim, and overall aesthetic so the new structure looks right at home on your property.
Do the bunkies come finished inside?
It’s your choice:
Basic shell (no interior walls or finishes)
Partially finished (insulated with basic paneling)

Absolutely. For cottages — yes.
For bunkies — sometimes, depending on size and local requirements.
